Emerson is probably one of the most storied consumer electronics companies around. From their beginning in 1915 as Emerson Phonograph Company to the Emerson Radio Corporation they have been in the hands of several owners and/or holding companies. At one time or another they have owned, licensed their name or been involved with many other names like DuMont, Pilot, H.H. Scott, National Union, Daewoo, G-Clef and Funai to name just some. Currently most Emerson products are made in China by Funai licensed factories and marketed by Wal-Mart and Target stores.

This tube box comes from the 1950s, just before they bought the consumer products division of DuMont.
