Tube Box courtesy of Damon Limeback

Hoffman was a well known equipment manufacturer in the heyday of B&W and the early days of color TV. Sales were stronger on the left coast rather than the east, but they were very popular. Tubes were made by first line companies like GE & RCA and private labeled for Hoffman. Tube writing was orange, the date code was wwyy with no dash. The appropriate RETMA/EIA code for the original manufacturer was also shown (example: 274 for RCA).
Cortron Industries was the corporate name. Hoffman was their product name.
