|We were an EF JOHNSON two-way radio sales and service center for well over two decades, and very proudly, I might add. Unfortunately we only have one tube box to show. This came in the beginning when we bought out the local EFJ
dealer and acquired our own dealership. EFJ had just gone all solid-state. When we would buy tubes from them hoping to get EFJ boxes so we could show off the Viking logo on tube sales, they just sent major brand tubes like RCA or GE in the RCA or
whatever box. They had quit having tubes labeled for them and shipped in their own box.|
The Johnson writing on the tubes I saw was orange (one of the EFJ company colors at the time) block letters without the EF, which is actually part ot the corporate name. I don't recall the date coding style and no longer have an example to see.
